Talk:Paralyze

  • Question: is there a difference between paralysis and hold? For example, the effect of a successful Stunning Fist is hold, but hold is not listed in the effects category. Are we to assume it's synonymous with paralysis? Thanks, Zenobia 09:51, 7 July 2006 (PDT)
They're synomonous. See the hold person description for example. -- Alec Usticke 10:34, 7 July 2006 (PDT)
  • Just wondering about the "considered prone" part of this definition. The definition of "prone" includes an enemy getting +4 to hit (melee) and a -4 to hit (ranged) because the victim is lying down. I would think that the -4 part at least does not apply to someone standing. Can anyone confirm that the +4/-4 applies to being paralyzed? If not, maybe say "considered flat-footed" instead?
