Talk:Improved evasion

[edit] Stacking

After playing around with different mods, it appears that Improved Evasion stacks with Damage Resistance (The percentile kind, not static). What I mean by this is that improved evasion is effectively "Remove 50% damage from anything that allows a reflex save.) This 50% stacks with say, 50% Blugeoning (sp?) resist to make you 100% immune to blugeoning affects that allow a reflex save (Meteor Swarm). --VgWizard14 08:42, 10 September 2007 (UTC)

  • Are you sure about that? The scripts involved first calculate the damage to apply based on evasion/improved evasion -- and at this point the damage type is not specified -- then a damage effect is created and applied to the target. What should happen is that a failed Improved Evasion results in an attempt to apply half the damage to the target, and that's when the damage immunity would kick in and cancel half of the half damage. (By the way, there is no percentile kind of damage resistance; you meant damage immunity.) --The Krit 00:34, 11 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Item Properties

Isn't the feat available as item feat already? At least there are a lot of bioware items with that feat: Lucky One (short sword), Ring of Yusam, Kamakuwa (armor),...--Kamiryn 08:28, 18 January 2006 (PST)

well it wasn't added as a feat but it is a separate itemproperty. didn't look there shall make a note about that.

Does having Improved Evasion without Evasion, i.e. from an item with Improved Evasion as bonus feat, still let the character avoid all damage on successful reflex throw?

Yes. Improved evasion alone is essentially Evasion that gives half or no damage, at least to my understanding. --VgWizard14 08:42, 10 September 2007 (UTC)
