Piercing damage

The term piercing refers to a specific physical damage type caused by certain weapons. This type of damage is caused when sharp, pointed objects are driven into opponents.
Items like the archer's belt and greater archer's belt reduce the amount of piercing damage taken in combat.
Examples of weapons which cause this type of damage include
- shurikens, and darts;
- crossbows;
- longbows, and shortbows;
- daggers, shortswords, and rapiers;
- spears; and
- creature gore items.
