- Light crossbows are listed in the crossbow blueprint category on the item palette in the toolset.

- Crossbows only provide one attack per round no matter the creature's BAB. However, the rapid reload feat can add an extra attack and so can effects that provide additional attacks, such as haste or the divine power spell.
- Crossbows are unaffected by a player character's strength bonus, so characters with 8 strength will not have a damage penalty wielding crossbows.
- All bows and crossbows require player characters to wield them with two hands regardless of their size.
