[edit] Notes
- Exclusive to the shifter prestige class (requires Hordes of the Underdark).
- This form of shapeshifting cannot be dispelled.
- Only the highest AC bonus from items will merge.
- Off-hand weapon properties never merge, nor do properties from bracers/gauntlets/gloves.
- At shifter level 13, shifters gain unlimited use of this ability via infinite humanoid shape.
- The kobold commando has a bonus to setting traps, but trap kits (like most other items) cannot be used while shifted.
- The kobold commando shape provides the sneak attack ability. This will not stack with a character's sneak attack from rogue levels, but it will stack with a blackguard's sneak attack or an assassin's death attack.
- The drow warrior shape changes a shifter's race to elf for the duration of the shift, which can cause a multiclass penalty for a shifter with a second base class (in addition to the necessary druid), even if no such penalty exists for the shifter's original race.
