Description: The subject and all possessions it carries turns into a mindless, inert statue. Only a stone to flesh spell can restore the subject to normal.

[edit] Notes

• Under the normal difficulty setting or easier, the duration is one round per caster level. Higher difficulty settings make the petrification permanent. Also, if the caster rests, any creatures turned to stone by him will be restored.
• While the only way to remove the petrification effect is with the stone to flesh spell, one can kill then raise victims that are player characters.
• No gold or items can be pickpocketed from a petrified creature.
