Flat-foot
From NWNWiki
A character or creature that is caught unawares or otherwise unprepared is considered to be flat-footed. A flat-footed character loses his dexterity and dodge bonuses to armor class and cannot make attacks of opportunity.
A character is considered to be flat-footed when:
- They are performing a non-combat task.
- They are in ready mode (have not yet acted in a combat).
- They move outside of the combat radius.
- They are entangled.
- They are prone.
- They are sleeping.
Some feats/special abilities cannot be used while flat-footed. Some feats/special abilities allow retention of the dexterity AC bonus even when flat-footed.
Flat-footed characters are candidates for a rogue/blackguard sneak attack and/or assassin death attack.
[edit] Notes
