Elemental plane
From NWNWiki
The elemental planes are inner planes that embody the elemental forces. These planes are arranged in a non-euclidian fashion so that each plane touches its two neighbors, avoids its opposition element, and touches the energy planes.
[edit] Pure Elemental Planes
The pure elemental planes embody the four basic elements of the D&D setting. Beings that originate from one of these planes are known as elementals.
- Elemental Plane of Fire
- Elemental Plane of Earth
- Elemental Plane of Water
- Elemental Plane of Air
[edit] Para-Elemental Planes
The para-elemental planes are formed where two pure elemental planes meet. Beings that originate from one of these planes are known as para-elementals.
- Para-Elemental Plane of Ice (Air/Water)
- Para-Elemental Plane of Ooze (Earth/Water)
- Para-Elemental Plane of Magma (Earth/Fire)
- Para-Elemental Plane of Smoke (Fire/Air)
The arrangement of the pure and para-elemental planes can roughly be pictured as follows:
| Ice | Water | Ooze |
| Air | Earth | |
| Smoke | Fire | Magma |
[edit] Quasi-Elemental
The quasi-elemental planes are formed where the pure elemental planes meet the energy planes. Beings that originate from one of these planes are known as quasi-elementals.
- Quasi-Elemental Plane of Salt (Water/Negative)
- Quasi-Elemental Plane of Dust (Earth/Negative)
- Quasi-Elemental Plane of Ash (Fire/Negative)
- Quasi-Elemental Plane of Vacuum (Air/Negative)
- Quasi-Elemental Plane of Radiance (Fire/Positive)
- Quasi-Elemental Plane of Minerals (Earth/Positive)
- Quasi-Elemental Plane of Steam (Water/Positive)
- Quasi-Elemental Plane of Lightning (Air/Positive)
The arrangement of the quasi-elemental planes can roughly be pictured as follows:
| Negative | Salt | Water | Steam | Positive |
| Dust | Earth | Minerals | ||
| Ash | Fire | Radiance | ||
| Vacuum | Air | Lightning | ||
