Dragon Coast: Erithorn's Might
From NWNWiki
Erithorn's Might is the third chapter in the Dragon Coast series of persistent world modules. It is an entirely custom world with no relation to Forgotten Realms or its Dragon Coast.
Erithorn's Might is a generally a low magic server with an emphasis on RP, though we are not a HCR server. In building the module, we have tried to cater equally to hardcore roleplayers, casual dungeon crawlers, and all in between. We do require that players stay In Character while logged in though, and we do not tolerate mindless PvP or other forms of griefing.
The server uses no haks except for the CEP, which has been applied with such painstaking care that the server has often described as "NWN 1.5" by our players. Both expansion packs are also required to log in.
[edit] The world of EM
The stage is set on the continent of Athus. There are four gods, one for each primal element:
Lornath - god of water, chiefly worshipped by the sea elves, some gnomes and humans
Cilius - god of air, worshipped by most humans and the majority of Athus in general. Cilius is the official god of the Empire, and is therefore sometimes referred to as the One True God.
Gindur/Giyanduir - god of earth, naturally a favorite of the dwarves. There is currently a deep rift among his followers, hence the two names.
Ysigorath - goddess of fire. Her element is typically associated with chaos and destruction, and so her followers are limited to small, secretive cults.
There are many custom subraces employed in EM, each with its own set of advantages and disadvantages. There are six races of humans, two of dwarves, and three rich cultures of elves.
Players start in the nucleus of the continent, the bustling city of Erithorn. Nearly every race and subrace has its own home city in the module, each with a distinct style and a different set of goods to purchase. Nearly all of the items, monsters, and NPCs found in the game are entirely custom. Our scripting staff is also quite talented, and they have provided the world with many unique touches at every turn, from minor spell balance alterations to an unobtrusive player scrying tool to a randomized magical item property generator for loot drops.
