Script description: The chaos shield has a variety of different effects, that have a chance of striking each creature successfully doing damage to the person wearing the shield. The chance for an effect to happen is 2% per level of the item property. The effects differ, depending on whether the attacker is a melee attacker or a ranged attacker.

Effect: As indicated in the description, there is a 2% per item property innate level for the effect to fire, and there are four random effects for ranged attackers and four for melee attackers. There is no saving throw. Multiple chaos shield attacks do not stack.

Ranged effects:

• stunned for 1d2 rounds
• 1d6+1 fire damage
• 1d8+1 electrical damage
• blindness for 1d2 rounds

Melee effects:

• slow for 1d4 rounds
• prone for 6 seconds
• 2d4 fire damage
• Immobilized for 1d3 rounds (no immunity) with 50% miss chance
