Amia

From NWNWiki

Jump to: navigation, search

Amia is a Neverwinter Nights roleplay persistent world that was started in December 2004 as a clone of another roleplay persistent world named Arelith. The split between the two servers was caused by different views on how things are done between the Dungeon Masters at that time, and relations between Arelith and Amia are good at the moment. The original Arelith module has been changed a lot. You will recognise some common names and areas but the bulk of the content is new (besides, Arelith itself changed as well).

Amia is a roleplay server, but a relaxed one. There are no such things as food systems or permanent deaths. It is not an action server, however, and just coming online to fight monsters is frowned upon, but will not get you banned. The balance between action and roleplay is an unlimited source of discussions on Amia.

Gameplay on Amia is quite close to standard NWN, with the exception of (relatively minor) spell and class changes. Additions are, for example, forty customized subraces, custom beefed up summons, and a unique crafting system.

Amia is one of the busier servers in the Roleplay section with 40-75 people playing, depending on the time of day. Amia has between 15-20 DMs, covering all timezones.

The server requires both Shadows of Undrentide and Hordes of the Underdark to play and has a level cap of 30. No hak paks are required to play the server. It is strongly suggested that players register on the Amia forums.
